WHAT TO DO?

If you find an injured or orphaned bird or animal, contact a wildlife carer, vet or sanctuary. Animals are often in shock after an accident, and need specialist care, food, medicine and equipment. The first 24 hours are crucial, and animals may not survive if they do not get the right care during that period.

RESCUED!
NANA was part of an initiative to create a book about wildlife care, written by carers from around Australia.  We are selling "Rescued!" to raise funds to support our volunteer efforts.  You can help by buying a copy, and reading some of the funny, moving and inspirational stories about our work. more.....

OUR VALUES
NANA has strong values and beliefs when it comes to protecting and caring for our wildlife. To learn more, visit the page About Us

WILDLIFE FRIENDLY FENCING
Every year, thousands of native animals die needlessly, caught on barbed wire or entangled in netting and fencing that is inappropriate to the wildlife in the area. While much of the barbed wire is erected in situations where it is not even needed, experience has found that wildlife entanglements tend to occur in very specific circumstances - such as when barbed wire is next to source of food or water. The Native Animal Network Association proudly supports the Wildlife Friendly Fencing Project. To learn more, visit their website at www.wildlifefriendlyfencing.com.

NSW WILDLIFE COUNCIL
The Native Animal Network Association is a foundation member of the NSW Wildlife Council. The new Council is looking to maximise the efforts of wildlife groups across NSW, with the stated goal of achieving better outcomes for wildlife. If you would like to know more about the wildlife council, you can see their website at www.nwc.org.au. You can download a copy of the NWC newsletter 'Wildlife Watch' from HERE.
