Wildlife rescue South Coast is made up of volunteers who give their  time to help with the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native animals.

Support in other fields such as fundraising, public education, rescues and transportation of animals are as important and rewarding. Those taking part in our activities work within our guidelines and regulations.

We depend on membership fees and fund raising activities to keep going.  You can help by becoming a member or donating money or items used in the care and keeping of injured fauna.

Becoming a member does not mean that you will automatically be given an animal to care for. many factors govern the selection of carers. These include control of domestic pets, suitable experience, equipment, and housing' (cages, aviary, compound etc).

Carers are asked to attend education days relevant to the species they will care for.

Some of the cost of caring for an animal is met by individual members. The equipment and housing of the animal must be of a suitable standard and quality. While we pride ourselves in looking after our volunteers, the welfare of animals is our priority.

We encourage members to attend meetings, to meet and share information with others.

We hope that this information has been of interest and that it has assisted in your decision about becoming a volunteer with Wildlife Rescue South Coast Incorporated.
