Rainbow Lorikeet  (Female (or juvenile male) Satin Bower Bird

We rescue literally thousands of birds. The rainbow lorikeet and satin bower bird were both rescued in August 2001 from the Nowra area after having flown into windows.
(A fairly common event, particularly during the warmer months).

Sacred Kingfisher

This sacred Kingfisher was delivered to its owner by their pet cat. The cat had two bells on its collar and was kept in at night by its owners - who were most upset by the cat's actions. Most birds that have been bitten by cats or dogs die within 24 hours or so. Unfortunately this was no exception, and died soon after the picture was taken.

These two juvenile magpies were rescued in the spring of 2001. One maggie came from Fitzroy Falls, and the second came from Bomaderry a few weeks later. They were buddied up, and have become inseparable.  As of early 2002, both were living in sight of the carers who raised them, and trying to establish their territory (as young adults) - which has meant a few rumbles with the local magpie population.
