Blue Tongue Lizard

This Blue Tongue Lizard was handed in near Sanctuary Point. The animal had deep gashes on its back, exposing muscle and sinew. (Possibly a run-in with a mower or whipper-snipper). The wounds were infected and several maggots were in residence. After painstakingly removing the maggots, treating with antiseptic and a fly-strike powder, he was kept in care for several weeks.

Diamond PythonThis Diamond Python is perfectly healthy, but was found in a back yard. Often the calls for snakes and goannas are not to rescue a sick or injured animal, but to relocate for the comfort of the property owner.

This python is generally harmless. As the property was out of town and there are no pets involved, the owners decided to let this one stay.
