TRAINING

See our Wombat Gallery

We take our education and training seriously. As well as 'on-the-job' experience and the 'buddy' system, we offer a number of courses. Unless volunteers have prior experience,  they must attend the appropriate courses before they can rescue or care for native animals.

Scheduled Courses

Training courses are not run during the busy spring and summer months as our volunteers are all out rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife!  As dates, times and venues are confirmed they will be included in the newsletter and the web site.  For details on upcoming training click HERE

Some courses may require a deposit up front so we can book the venue. We will also again be sharing out training with other groups, so keep your eyes on this page for information about upcoming training and conferences. Volunteers wishing to attend any of these courses should contact Training Officer Heather Davitt on 0402 802 789.

Remember: When talking at schools and community groups that we do NOT display animals undergoing rehabilitation.
